Recreational Vehicles can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and if a repair technician accidentally makes a mistake it can cost a very large amount to remedy the issue! No one intends for mistakes to happen - but if they do, RV Tech Pro is prepared to make it right.
At RV Tech Pro we offer repairs at significantly lower prices than dealerships and provide 100% transparency on our pricing. All of our prices are available to see online - from our travel cost to diagnostic fees to hourly rates - we don’t believe in surprising you with the bill.
Warranty and insurance contracts can be quite complex, so the terms of service can differ quite a bit from one company to another. This means that the process you go through with each company might be different, which can lead to different requirements for filing and approving claims. Also, the way claims are paid out can vary depending on the carrier. To make sure we provide great service to all our customers, no matter which carrier they use, RV TECH PRO has put together this warranty and claims policy:
We’ll start a claim with any warranty company, whether it’s a manufacturer or an insurance company. It’s really important for customers to know what their contracts cover, because they often don’t cover the full cost of parts, labor, and mobile service call fees needed to fix or service something.
So, we’ll work with any company, but to make sure we get things done quickly, we need the customer who gets the parts and labor to pay upfront.
Here’s how we do it: We’ll go to the customer to check things out and gather information during the first service call. This info will help us figure out what’s wrong and give the customer an estimate that needs to be approved by their carrier. This estimate should include specific parts and labor with part numbers, and so on. Payment is due when the service is done. Sometimes, we can finish the estimate during the service call, but other times, we’ll need to do some research and call the companies to get the prices after the service call. If the parts manufacturers don’t have online pricing, they’ll get in touch with us to give us the prices.
The warranty company won’t start a claim without this information, and we can’t control how they handle claim initiation and approvals. There might be an administrative fee for claims that take a lot of phone time with the warranty companies.
Once we’ve given the go-ahead for your claim, we’ll send you an invoice for any parts you need. Once you’ve paid, we’ll get those parts on order. Once they arrive, we’ll reach out to you to set up a time for installation. You can do this at our shop or, in many cases, through our mobile service.
After the service is done and the parts are in place, we’ll need you to pay for the work. We’ll send the signed invoice to your carrier for payment. We always ask that the carrier pay you directly, but if they’re only paying us as the service provider, we’ll refund you the amount you paid, minus any processing fees (3.8%) this is only if the carrier uses a credit card instead of a check to pay the claim, then we’ll just take the processing fee out of the refund.

Tim Scott started RV Tech Pro after working in the RV repair industry for several years. Tim found that the ethics of dealership work didn’t match his personal values and saw a need for mobile repairs, and from this combination RV Tech Pro was born.
Tim describes his background as the perfect storm for RV repair. His father was a carpenter, giving Tim early experience with woodworking, and as a teenager Tim was a passionate car stereo enthusiast, learning the ins and outs of low voltage electronics. In 1997, Tim joined the Air Force and worked as an electronics specialist into the early 2000s.
After two tours in the Air Force, Tim worked as an automotive technician, electrician and plumber, before finally making his way into RV repairs. Armed with knowledge of carpentry, electronics, wiring, and plumbing, RV repairs were a natural fit for his skill set.
